Since the start in 2008, ToFindOut both survived the financial crisis and succeeded in increasing their clientele. To
assure the quality of recruitment processes for companies and organizations is a growing need in Sweden today, assures
CEO Birgitta Edlund.
ToFindOut works with quality assurance of investment and recruitment processes that provide long-term mutual trust between companies and new employees. When the company was founded in 2008, there were no similar companies in Sweden, despite that the phenomenon had existed much earlier in countries like Britain and the United States. In the three years that have passed both demand and customer base increased. Since the company's staff is sprung from recruitment and HR industry they value that the work must be done carefully and be available to all involved. Birgitta Edlund, president of ToFindOut, has previously worked in both Poolia and Uniflex Staffing, which include recruiters, head and Regional Manager. - I have done over 1000 recruitment interviews and also previously worked with quality assurance processes. Our business model is based therefore on our past experience of both bad and good recruiting, says Birgitta. The largest expense for most businesses is staff and if a recruitment goes badly it can lead to unnecessary costs. However, if one assures the quality of the recruitment process the number of bad recruitments minimizes and the company gets benefits in both time and money. ![]() - But it is also important to protect those who are already at work so they do not need to suffer unnecessarily by a person who got there on false pretenses, continues Birgitta. As an employer you do not want to get unexpected surprises regarding their staff, especially if it is a trust issue. Therefore it is important to take a strategic decision for quality assurance before starting a recruitment. - It is better to know than not know. According to Birgitta, all background checks are completely transparent, which means that you always work in agreement with the candidate. ![]() - We want our customers to be sincere to their candidates and as early as possible, inform that a background check may occur. We do nothing in secret. All our resources are completely open and we will not disclose information that we do not stand for, she says. The company does no assessment of the studies done without all the facts presented to the customer, its up to the customer himself to take decisions. The candidate is always able to get a copy of the material provided to the customer. - Really, the work we do can anybody do, but we making it methodically and controlled. And above all we do the work that otherwise might not get done, explains Birgitta. The customer base consists of medium and large companies who all can feel safe with ToFindOuts work on a privacy-like manner. All service packs and internal work processes are adapted to the Personal Data Act (PuL) and are reviewed by lawyers. All documents are based background checks are also cleared as soon as the customer received them. - What makes us unique is our previous knowledge and experience of recruitment processes and HR.
